2017 marks 60 years since the closure of the Great Northern Railway and the last train to leave Bundoran station.
The closure happened on September 30th, 1957 and across the weekend of Friday 29th September to Sunday October 1st 2017 we will be commemorating this with a series of talks, exhibitions, screenings and more.
Large steam engines will be making an appearance in town during the weekend and the Donegal Railway Heritage Centre will provide a model railway exhibition from Friday to Sunday.
If you're a railway fan or travelled on the line before the closure, then a weekend of nostalgia lies ahead!
