The Defence Forces Open Day takes place on the grounds of Farmliegh House on Sunday, July 9th.
There will be vintage vehicles, weapons display, a parachute display and capability demonstrations from the Army, Air Corps & Naval Service. , virtual reality experiences, unarmed combat demonstrations, Army Brass and Pipeband recitals, the Irish President's motorcycle escort.
There will also be historical research guidance from Military Archives the primary custodians of material from the revolutionary period.
Serving members, veterans and all members of the public are encouraged to attend what promises to be a great family day out.

Brilliant day out today and my girls had a great time trying on helmets,holding weapons,getting into the vehicles and watching the Parachuter's was fantastic... I have now have one daughter who wants to be in air corps and the other with the equine. Great day well done to all!!!!
