The twelvth annual Mountains to Sea - dlr Book Festival will be held from March 26th to 29th 2020.
The Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival enjoyed a fantastic debut in 2009 thanks to the support and enthusiasm of local book-lovers and, thankfully, not a few first-time visitors to Dún Laoghaire.
One of our guests at the 2018 festival, Ali Smith described 'the act of storytelling as an act of profound generosity'. It always has been; story is an ancient form that will tell us everything we need to know about the contemporary world.
We will be thinking and talking about The State of Us in 2020, you and me, Ireland, the world…
In The Lyric Note, poetry and music take centre stage under our spotlight. We will look at borders and the continuing polarisation of states in Present Tense. Read, draw, play and create with some of your favourite in our Schools & Families programme! Hone your craft with guidance from our writers in our Workshops. We will be #EachforEqual on March 6th in our celebration of International Women's Day.
All Festival Events are now onsale and there are no booking charges if you book tickets online.
