An Anime, Manga & Japanese cultural convention on in the NUI Galway Campus, January 17th - 19th 2020.

Akumakon is one of the longest running Anime and Manga conventions in Ireland. Held over a weekend, and run by students of NUI Galway, it is a non-profit convention with many events used to raise money for charity.
We aim to facilitate everyone who has an interest in the cultural aspect of Japanese culture, the historical or linguistic route or enjoying the same hobbies i.e the reading of manga, listening to J-Pop or Rock and the watching of their style of animation to our fullest extent.

Join us as we celebrate, anime, manga and Japanese culture. We'll have panels, traders, artists, video games, special events and more.

Every year we welcome guests from all over the world, be it from Japan, the UK, America or Ireland. This year is bigger and better than ever.

Akumakon 2020 will be taking place from the 17th to the 19th of January at NUI Galway.
