Song Tales sa Spéir tour to unleash the magic of music to over 10,000 children in 15 different counties Song Tales sa Spéir is an exciting, interactive live music initiative from Ceol Connected, developed to bring their unique experience of music, song and storytelling to young audiences. Some of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians and singers will perform to over 10,000 children in 15 different counties at local schools between May and June from a fully equipped mobile stage. Ceol Connected’s tour of SongTales sa Spéir is funded by the Arts Council of Ireland and supported by local Music Generation partnerships. The tour will bring fun, dancing, singalong songs and a sense of connection with incredible musicians and singers to young audiences across Ireland. SongTales sa Spéir will be on tour for 34 days, performing at two schools per day, and will play in counties Kildare, Longford, Tipperary, Waterford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Donegal, Cavan, Monoghan, Carlow, Cork, Dublin, Leitrim and Roscommon. “We are absolutely thrilled to bring our SongTales sa Spéir concert to so many children across Ireland in partnership with Music Generation areas. SongTales sa Spéir is all about experiencing wonder, joy, and meaningful connections through music. Our show will have all of this in abundance,” said Thomas Johnston, Director at Ceol Connected. “The beauty of SongTales sa Spéir is that we can perform absolutely anywhere; in forests, festivals or school playgrounds. So keep an eye out and come and say hello - we really can’t wait to meet everyone along the way!” Song Tales sa Spéir is powered by Ceol Connected, an impassioned company that strives to create meaningful, beguiling, virtuosic, fantastical, and gloriously joyful work for young audiences that is of the highest quality and that draws inspiration and intrigue from the world of traditional arts.
