Join us any day at the Slieve Aughty Centre during the Easter holidays and capture the joy of spring at the Spring Festival Galway!
Spring is a lovely time at the centre as it seems to coincide with warmer weather, emerging flowers and longer days that inspire us to shake out the dust of winter and get busy.
Take a short walk to the Enchanted Forest and see if you can spot any fairy folk. The Easter bunny leaves his rabbit foot prints along the trail. Follow them to see if he has left anything sweet! You can learn a bit more about the wild rabbits that live around the centre in the nature hut and visit real rabbits a the centre. Find out who else lives in the forest following the woodland animal trail. There are plenty of animals around to visit, or you can go for a ride on one of our friendly horses or ponies (from €10 for pony rides to the Enchanted Forest for children ages 5 and up!). With more than 2,000 acres of Coillte Forest beside the centre, longer walks are possible for the more adventurous.
Step into The Three Towers Organic Kitchen and fill your senses with the scent of fresh, home-made cooking, or simply grab a hot coffee or tea and sit outside in the garden. The kids can make a Spring craft to bring home, get their face painted, and the whole family can try out a silly “spring” wardrobe and take some family photos.
Don’t forget to enter our Lazy Days of Summer Contest and win a family pass, pony rides and lunch for a summer day out, or make a contribution to TIAFI (supporting Syrian refugee women) as part of the Easter Monday Charity Day. Pizza Party Fridaysstart April 9th and are a great start to any weekend.
Make the festival part of an unforgettable Spring getaway and stay in our cosy family accommodation. Book a spring family break.
