The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

So glad I was able to pick up two of the last tickets for Larks SEUSSICAL tonight, it was sold out from Monday. From the very moment the stage lit up we were transported to the fantastical world of Dr. Seuss. The entire audience from 6 to 90 were enthralled from start to finish The production values were exceptional, the choreography and dancing jaw dropping and superb acting and singing from the entire ensemble. Full of bright colours, the energy never flagged for a second. This production would not be out of place at the Bord Gais Theatre or 3Arena. Well done to all involved you are part of and have created something magical. Don't just "think" about it go! Mark stafford
