O'Carolan Harp festival takes place in Nobber, Co. Meath, the birthplace in 1670 of the composer and harper Turlough O'Carolan.
This year we celebrate our 32nd annual festival from October 4th– 6th, 2019. As with every year, the festival features an impressive line-up of artists.
Friday evening’s concert features the talents of Helen Davies & Poul Høxbro from Copenhagen, Cormac De Barra & Anne-Marie O’Farrell and making their first debut, The Junior Meath Harp Ensemble.
Kavan Donohoe, Michael Rooney, Music Generation Louth Harp Ensemble directed by Deirdre Malone & Meath Harp Ensemble directed by Dearbhail Finnegan, all feature in Saturday’s concert, in what promises to be one truly unforgettable evening of harp music.
Over the weekend the festival features; harp workshops & competitions, harp exhibitions, and pub sessions as well as the aforementioned concerts.
