The Lough Ree Monster has been talked about for thousands of years before its famous cousin in Lough Ness was first spotted.
The Lough Ree Monster Festival 2018 takes place at Lanesborough from August 10th until August 12th.
Plans are in place for a really fun festival with a huge range of events and activities happening over the August bank holiday weekend. The Lough Ree Monster usually arrives for an exciting unveiling on Friday night.
Events over the weekend include live music, entertainment and a kids disco.
