A fun packed weekend not to be missed filled with great concerts, music, dance, parades, and lots more for the whole family. All in support of four charities.
2018 sees the first Benbulben Carnival taking place in Sligo Town.
It will be a fun and vibrant music and arts festival held on Sat 2nd and Sun 3rd, June Bank holiday weekend in Stephen Street Car Park.
It is held in support of four local charities that rely solely on local funding.
- MS Therapy Centre Sligo
- North West Hospice
- Alzheimer's Society Sligo
- Friends of Sligo University Hospital cardiac services.
The Carnival will be a weekend of music, dance, a parade, and pub and street parties.
The carnival consists of two massive open-air concert each night in Sligo’s Stephen Street Car Park
from 5pm
A Wonderful Lively Parade starts from Abbey Street at 1pm and goes around the town into Stephens
Street where the kids and adults can enjoy some refreshments and activities.
Sligo will see a massive crowd of people come to immerse onto the streets to enjoy the great music
and atmosphere lined up.
We have set the very reasonable charge of €10 admission for each night of the concerts.
The parade, refreshments/party and activities are free for all the spectators
The theme of the Saturday Parade is ‘The Best OF Sligo’’, spectators are in for a wonderful, colourful
experience that is sure to impress both adults and children. It is a family friendly event and we
encourage everyone to become part of it. We will see a coming together of the people of the
communities near and far, throughout the country and the world.
