Johnstown Castle is a spectacular historic building set within beautiful gardens which are open to the public.

The Castle will open in 2019 as an exciting visitor experience with the Castle open to the public for tours, a new visitor centre, improved paths and activities in the gardens, combined with new car-parking and entrance arrangements..

The Castle at Johnstown is a gem of gothic revival architecture.

It is surrounded by spectacular ornamental gardens designed by Daniel Robertson.

The gardens offer a range of beautiful sculptured walks, lake walks and a Victorian walled garden all currently open for visitors to enjoy.

Easter Egg Hunt at Johnstown

Our Easter Egg Hunt at Johnstown will take place from Saturday 13th to Monday 22nd April, 11am – 4pm.  There will be a choice of mini and mega trails around the gardens at Johnstown.  No need to book!

Half-Price Admission for the Easter school holidays

From Saturday 13 to Sunday 28 April we will be offering half-price admission to all our visitors. The special admission rates are: Adult €4.50, Senior €3.50, Child €2, Family €12.
